That's really good for someone who's highest batting average in 3 seasons with the Cardinals was .174.

Kelly had 131 plate appearances spread over 3 years with the Cards and 235 so far in AZ this year

If weaver weren't shut down with the early stages of Tommy John, I would entertain the notion that we had.

Mirage.

Beware buying into some of these Statcast datasets. They’ve had enough discrepancies so far to question it a bit. Especially since they’re so hush hush about their methods.

You’re potentially ignoring that Kelly is still young and developing as a hitter.

If we hadn't traded Kelly; we wouldn't be benefiting from the Wieters mobile right now.

Even if you're catcher can only mirage that, I think you're pretty happy.

Is this the place where I get to say the big “I FREAKING TOLD YOU SO, LOSERS” about Kelly?

Yes, I think this is the place.

Not that it was a mistake to trade him, but everyone and their cousin was ready to throw him out with the trash last year. Silliness. He isn’t this good but he is going to be just fine at worst.

I certainly thought he'd be decent. I wanted him to get more opportunities and disliked the Yadi extension preventing that. I knew he wouldn't be good without reps.

Praying Knizner can't at least duplicate.
