I think that's a bad way to go about things. One, I'm always seeing guys with women who are clearly much better looking than they are, so it must be possible to date out of your leauge. Two, a league is a self-imposed category anyway. Three, women, more often than not, are less superficial than men, and as long as you meet their attractiveness threshold it's up to your personality to carry the day.

I think it means that the girls you have a realistic shot with appear hotter because they are within reach.

I'm not sure you guys quite have it. Plausible attainability is about girls who normally are out of your league, but something about them (the way they act, the way they dress, something) makes them almost appear as if you might have a shot with them even if you don't.

The all-time best example of Plausible Attainability is Jennifer Aniston in seasons 1-3 of Friends before she got major thin.
