But as each series progressed, we adapted to what they were bringing. Berube made just the right adjustments, the guys played tighter and tighter with each game that came along. And that seems to be happening again. It feels like Boston might be in real trouble here. Especially if Chara is out.
This is the first time I've allowed myself to actually think they have a real shot at this thing. Its 2 of 3. That's doable. Hard as hell, but the worst team in the league could win 2 of 3 against good teams. They have to play their game. Binny has to be solid. They can't get lazy and they need some bounces, but its possible.

Chara out for series. broken jaw.

Edit: still a rumor.

Regardleas A lot of ice time to cover for Bruins. I have no clue on replacement, but in sports-not unprecedented to see the [expletive] sub become series hero

Chara isn’t much offensively anymore, but he is still a beast defensively and chews up a lot of minutes. I’d rather not have him out there.

Hate to see anyone injured, and Chara is a really good dman, but we won games without Dunn. Boston (like the Blues) is deep enough to deal with this and still come out strong.

Secrets: I gained a lot of respect for Chara throughout this series. Sure he sucker punched Maroon in a little scrum so [expletive] off and what not, but aside from that, it was pretty clear he wasn't peak form physically and would lose races but he was smart and effective while playing hard. Just kind of shook off the puck to the face as much as possible, got some stitches, put on a fishbowl and sat through the 3rd on the bench in what had to be pretty severe discomfort. Hated him coming into the series but couldn't help but respect that last night.

I'd guess kampfer is next up if Grzelcyk is still out.

This is the first season in my life where the Blues have had cup aspirations at the start of a season and can't disappoint me anymore. What I mean by that is in the past the team would always give me hope and i'd buy in and then be horribly disappointed in some way by some heartbreaking loss.

But this year, even if they lose the finals, it's no longer heartbreaking or disappointing. I mean yeah it'll be disappointing if they lose, but the team has exceeded my expectations and overcome so much adversity that even if they lose I'll have a lot of joy from this team and respect them in the same way I do all the other championship level teams i've experienced in St. Louis.

I won’t be disappointed if we lose the series, however history doesn’t remember runner-ups. We are two—TWO—wins away from that elusive Cup. We all know how hard it has been over the years to even get to the Finals. Who knows when we have an opportunity like this again.

Just win. 2 of 3.
