Good question. Edmundson is bigger and generally better, but Gunnar is coming off a great game (in addition to the GWG). I'd entertain resting Dunn, but if he can go you almost have to get him in there.

I don't know. Everything equal, I'd probably roll one more game with the lineup we've had and let Dunn sit. But perhaps Edmundson is a bit dinged up himself leading to lesser ice time the past couple games, and he could use a break.

They should pull a cardinals ala Matt Adams in LF and put Dunn in at center for Sundqvist.

You jest, but of all the D men, Dunn would make a decent wing. You could put him in the lineup instead of Sanford at wing, and pair him as a point man on the power play on Petro’s unit.

What I've found refreshing about this year compares to years past with the Blues is they are teaming getting under opponents' skin and getting the other team to take penalties after getting beat up. Clifton's high sticking penalty for example. And, while I'm not a fan of some of Perron's antics like slashing Bishop, he's been a big reason along with Maroon. Putting Dunn in to pick up Sundqvist's forechecking wouldn't be a big drop and he's got a decent shot.

Not saying they should do it, obviously it was not meant to be taken seriously, part of me kind of wonders. I'd think they'd want someone that is going to be able to effectively forecheck which Sundqvist was doing rather well.

It is an intriguing idea, to be sure. I mean I wouldn't put him at center where he's taking faceoffs, but he has the offensive ability to be placed at forward and the defensive responsibilities wouldn't be an issue (other than he's not used to positional play as a forward). Not sure how much time he's spent as a forward at high levels in his past. Put him with Steen and Bozak (or Fabbri), and then plan on Steen covering a bit more 3rd line time as well (shifting Maroon up to the 2nd line still).

I think throwing Dunn at any fwd position, coming off an injury, in a SCF game is a BAD idea. Boston is fast enough that a bad read can lead to an odd man break. (a good possibility given that he wouldn't instinctively know how to position himself at fwd) Swap him in for a same-side Dman? Sure, but don't change positions on him.

Sanford or Maceachern if Thomas can't go. Stay away from Thornburn.

I have plans to be in St. Louis for the Cardinals game on Saturday. Am I going to be alright riding the Metro from North Hanley (and back), or is that a bad plan? I know the city will be rocking!

Bad plan in what sense? Filled with fans will/should increase safety. A logistical issue w Metro is that because of downtown tunnels/stations they cannot add extra cars, 2 is the max, so it can take forever to get your ride back. If you’re hanging around downtown for some post games festivities then it should be less of a problem. Last train is midnightish unless they are operating on a special schedule.

That's exactly the type of information that I was looking for, luke. Thanks.

I figured getting downtown mid-afternoon shouldn't be bad? Getting back out to our hotel by North Hanley after the game(s) is my concern. I'm not concerned about safety.
