Plus it was in and out of the net in a second. With a partially-blocked view, he probably reacted after he saw a teammate celebrate.Popeye_Card wrote:I think it was a combination of him not seeing it go in (view blocked by Bishop), and he talked in an interview that he was surprised he was able to lift it—that he normally bangs those opportunities into the pads.

After thinking about it, I am glad that I had softball games at 8 and 9 last night so I couldn't watch the game after the first period. I don't know that my nerves could have handled it.
It also ended up working out well because suddenly it poured down rain about 15 minutes into our second game and the umpire called it. As soon as everybody ran to their cars and started pulling off, the rain just stopped. I checked on the game on my way home and there was just under 10 minutes left and the game was tied.
As I was walking in the door to my apartment, I heard people cheering from apartments in the building next door or across the street before I had a chance to turn on the TV and I just knew that the Blues took the lead just then. I was right. Unfortunately Dallas tied it back up and I was finally able to start watching the game from right after that Dallas goal tied it up 3-3. I got the great ending and the nervousness that went along with that but I didn't have to suffer through an entire game of nerves!

Only 20* more hours 'til puck drop. Anxious to see how both teams look tonight.

Up 2-1 against WPG, we laid a big old turd. Hopefully we avoid that trap tonight. 3-1 looks sooooo much better than 2-2.

As a Blues fan, I tend to look at it as a 3-1 series lead is going to be so much more painful to blow than a 2-2 series.
It is kinda amazing that despite how close this whole playoffs has seemed thus far, the Blues have yet to trail in a series, and they've really only had a couple bad periods. On the flip side, there has only been a span of 3 periods (3rd period of game 5 through 2nd period of game 6) where the Blues really dominated play. It would be great to see at least one period of dominance tonight.

And if I may... I would prefer the period of dominance be the 3rd, and for the previous two periods to end something like 1-1 or 2-2. I would hate to see us dominate the first, only to let DAL tilt the ice and win it, taking momentum back with them to St. Louis.

That’s a really bad interference call. Especially in the playoffs.

Game seems closer than the score would indicate but of course it’s the blues getting blown out.
