2019 could be the year that finally breaks the Hall of Fame ballot. Here's the top 10 players on the ballot by career bWAR:

Name bWAR
Barry Bonds 162.8
Roger Clemens 139.6
Mike Mussina 83
Curt Schilling 79.6
Larry Walker 72.7
Scott Rolen 70.2
Manny Ramirez 69.4
Edgar Martinez 68.4
Roy Halladay 64.3
Andruw Jones 62.8

Who gets in? Voters are going to either have to cave on PEDs and finally put Bonds and Clemens in, or cave on the "small hall" super restrictive standards and put "borderline" guys like Mussina, Rolen, Walker, and Martinez in.

Would Rolen go in as a Cardinal? I would think so. He had far and away his best season here in 2004, won two NL Pennants, and a World Series.

Or stick to their outdated approach and not cave at all, and not vote anyone in.

I think that qualifies as "breaking the hall of fame ballot."

EDIT: nvm, I guess it's already happened a few times. 2013 being the most recent. I can't wait for them to unveil the plaque of sole inductee 1890's legend Bart "Four Toes" McGoo, inventor of the eephus.

I would eventually vote for all 10 guys you listed. But my 2019 ballot would have Rivera instead of Jones.

I'd really like to see him get in the Hall, but I get the vibe he's going to end up in the Hall of Very Good.

Silver lining - if he does get inducted, he might deliver the most boring speech evar. Or, it would be really short.

Met Sam Tuivailala tonight.

Works out at my gym here in the south Bay Area.

Nice dude. Said the Goldschmidt trade is huge. Wouldn’t comment on Matheny when I asked about him... ha! Guy has gotten bigger and wonders about what kind of direction the Mariners go and his future. He’s really straight up.
