The fact that you think it's normal makes me wonder about your maturity, to be honest. I suppose you think the Confederate flag is "just a flag" too, and we should all grow up and not worry about it so much?
Putting words in my mouth again. Good job. It's not normal to wear those things and it's even less normal for someone else (you) to constantly obsess over them either. Get it?
Socnorb11 wrote:For whatever reason, he was replaced by Blaine Gabbert. When you're replaced by Blaine Gabbert......... for ANY reason, you're a pretty replaceable NFL quarterback. It's funny how you can come up with a million reasons why he lost his job originally, but only one reason why he lost his job this time.
The 49ers were tanking. You seem pretty familiar with Theo Epstein so I would think you understand how this concept works. They wanted to lose and wanted to avoid Kap injuring his shoulder again where they couldn't cut him and continue to bottom out. This has been confirmed numerous times by front office execs. It's not a matter of opinion. You only continue to bring it up because you irrationally hate someone you don't know and have like 5 things to repeat constantly to try to justify it.
Socnorb11 wrote:Nike's sweatshops are some of the most well-renowned in the world. Would I go to work for them? Maybe. Probably. However, I'm not the one claiming to lead the anti-oppression movement.

Show me where Nike or Kap have ever claimed to "lead the anti oppression movement". Kap is protesting the disparate treatment of minorities within the criminal justice system. That's the extent of it. You think it's a myth or matter of opinion even though it's a verifiable fact, so you change the subject to something else.
Socnorb11 wrote:Remember when the Rams players came out of the locker room in the "Hands up, don't shoot" pose? Remember that protest? Yeah, none of them lost their jobs.

Yeah I remember. You and the STL Police Association whined about that plenty. See a pattern?
Socnorb11 wrote: It's awesome that Rams players aren't afraid to show their solidarity, and openly support black victims like Michael Brown, Adrian Peterson's son, and Ray Rice's wife.

Oh wait...........

Socnorb11 wrote:I'm a "racist" who has for almost a decade been one of the biggest Obama supporters on this forum. I'm a racist who willfully sends a portion of my income to Uganda an Kenya, so families there can have a better life. Really? You need some new material. You really do. Crying "racist" every time you get backed into a corner is about as transparent as it gets. YOU are what's wrong with the left.
Biggest obama supporter, yep.
Socnorb11 wrote:Obama is more of a cult hero than a political figure. Unfortunately, that's probably going to land him in the White House.
Not patriotic enough to wear a flag lapel pin. You're big on the flag worship.
Socnorb11 wrote:To me, it seems like Obama is refusing to wear it, and the only reason he's refusing to wear it is "for show". Going against the grain just for the sake of going against the grains doesn't accomplish much, in my opinion.
Maybe he's a Muslim terrorist??? Just asking questions.
Socnorb11 wrote: You have to be careful, though. Bin Laden was known to have lots of energy and enthusiasm, too. Unless it's directed in the right way, it can be very dangerous.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't like Obama, but I think the people that like him because he's "inspiration" need to focus more on his policies.
Rush Limbaugh calls Obama a "halfrican American" but racism expert Socnorb sets everyone straight.
Socnorb11 wrote:I think Americans are too sensitive. It's nothing derogatory. He is what he is.
Yeah, I'm really backed into a corner here. [I'm not allowing that] while simultaneously calling all the black people around you liars. They just make stories up about the cops, right? Get more angry about a pair of socks than life altering/ending situations happening every day. Whine about any form of protest that doesn't agree with your delicate sensibilities. Tell me I don't care about black people and that I'm the real problem. You're doing a bang up job of convincing everyone what a decent person you are.

If anyone thinks this is going to stop [socnorb] from commenting, you’re crazy.

If you need a workout buddy, I hear Mike McCarthy's available.

I think we can agree that the conversation about Kaepernick is no longer constructive.

I think we can also agree that devolving into person insults isn't going to change anyone's opinion on the subject.

If you want to post your views on the Kapernick situation and how it impact football, this is a good spot for that. But attacks on other people's opinions and a dick measuring contest to see who is the most wrong is not going to be tolerated.

Anything after this that is a personal attack will be deleted.

Maybe delete the personal attacks that have already been made? We've been down this road repeatedly. Either put a stop to it, or don't pretend that it's not permitted here........ and we'll just have an all-out free-for-all.

Also, lol at CF82 for digging up something that I posted 11 years ago (about Obama being a cult hero, which isn't even a bad thing) in an attempt to prove that I'm racist, and then attacking me for bringing up Kaep wearing a Castro shirt TWO WHOLE YEARS AGO! You want me to refute the Obama stuff with the dozens upon dozens of comments that I've made on this forum supporting him as president for the last 10 years?

Yeah, it's crazy. I know there isn't as much talent there as in previous years, but he really has struggled to adapt it seems. I think it shows that there's a reason coaching and management constantly change. Even the best of managers can end up getting stale. It's even more a testament to how good Belichick has been.

I honestly don’t think Belichick is that good. He’s just that much better than the rest of the coaches.

The one drawback to NOT having a majority owner for the Packers is firing people usually takes a lot longer than it should.
