Must have wanted guys who like "exclusively play RF" or whatever position they are. But still makes no sense why Jay and Markakis over Nimmo or Yelich then. Yelich especially, since Statcast AND UZR like him. Even with guys like Brian Anderson in Miami, UZR likes him but Statcast says he sucks.

Seems like there some 'unwritten rules' component to GG's. Like PAY YOUR DUES! or something. The good news I guess is that Yellich will continue to get noms and awards several years after he's been surpassed by younger players. It's a strange award. Yadi will probably win one after he's retired.
