I realize they don't have to respect Albert's wishes. If they want to have the awkwardness of him not wearing any Cardinals gear for photos, not signing any Cardinals merch for fans, and maybe not speaking about the Cardinals during his speech (or not going altogether if he's inducted as a Cardinal), that's their choice.
Because it's not the most important comment of the article. I didn't bold the player denials either.
I seriously doubt AP will even ask to be an Angel because it's so plainly obvious the cap he's going to be wearing that it should be clear to everyone including the Angels organization.

Baseball Hall of Fame President Jeff Idelson told ESPN in an 2009 interview that the hall tries to decide where the player "made his most indelible mark."
According to Idelson, the cap decision is made by the Hall of Fame's senior staff and research team. "They'll look at a player's career numbers and look at the impact, and quite honestly, it's usually a no-brainer," Idelson told ESPN. "Then we have a conversation with the player, because we wouldn't do something unilaterally."
The decisions are not always made without controversy. When Gary Carter was elected in 2003, the Hall decided his plaque would bear the Montreal Expos logo, while Carter expressed a desire to go in as a member of the New York Mets. Dave Winfield, who played significant roles for San Diego and the New York Yankees was another player whose cap selection stirred controversy. As well as base-stealing legend Rickey Henderson.
It's about #'s and they don't always respect a players wishes. It would be beyond shocking if AP didn't go in as a Cardinal.

I think it's pretty important.
Okay, and I included the quote with everything else in my post. I don't appreciate what you're implying here.

What's the deal with weirdly personalizing it and saying I didn't bold THE QUOTE I POSTED which implies I was being misleading. Next time how about just say you think that part of the quote is important?
