Re: Former Cardinals Watch
Probably already discussed but why wasn’t Holliday signed by somebody this offseason? DH. RH bench bat. There’s still some utility there.

Holliday, 38, last played in the majors a year ago for the New York Yankees, but his one-year stint in pintstripes was foiled by a virus and an injury that sapped strength and health from him. He finished with a .231 average and 18 homers. He received offers entering 2018, but that’s not what he wanted.
He wanted something like his cleats — a familiar team, a fit.
He said he would have considered an offer from the Cardinals, the Rockies, maybe the Yankees, and a few other teams where he had some personal connection.
“I was looking for the right fit, sort of the right fit from a lot of different places,” Holliday said. “Just wasn’t anything that got me going. I was just kind of waiting for the right fit. I was pretty OK with where I was. To be with the kids. Still watching guys. Just trusting God had a plan for me, and if it was not playing anymore, I was OK with resting on that. Really felt like this was an opportunity sort of out of nowhere and it felt like the right time.”

Watching Daniel Descalso tonight. His new power surge and emergence as a hitter was something I never saw coming. He's now the guy that protects Goldschmidt and bats 4th.

Using normie Twitter gifs to disguise your blatant insecurity is the true joke here.
