my father would correct to Southwest Missouri State University
He would be wrong as well, he probably also think Wichita is a State.

No, he would be right. My wife graduated from Southwest Missouri State University. She still calls it SMSU.

My dad graduated from SMSC and still calls it that occasionally, but he’s getting old and senile also.

It sucks when you know that the upcoming weekend can not possibly be as good as the previous weekend.

I agree. Thankfully I don't have that problem this weekend. Saturday is our company golf tournament and one of my favorite days of the year. Last weekend was a lot of fun other than bruising my tailbone but there isn't much that beats our golf tournament. I am lucky to play with three others who are good friends, a lot of fun and also really good at golf. One of the guys and our lady played in college. The other guy played baseball in college and can hit the ball a mile even if he isn't consistently in the fairway like the other two. I suck. I'm just there to have fun and provide entertainment which means there is zero pressure on me and I just get to have fun while still having a legitimate chance at winning again. We took A flight in 2014 and B flight last year but last year's team was hurt by missing the guy who played in college and this year we're even better because our normal lady just had a baby and we managed to replace her with the lady who played in college and is much better all around.

Every weekend is great in it's own way.

Diddy, you know, I apologize. I know better. My best friend went to grad school at Missouri State when it was SMS. I like Springfield and always cheer for Missouri State when they aren’t playing the Hogs. My bad

Why is it that in Science Fiction shows with aliens, the aliens always come from a homogeneous home planet? There is always only one way for them to look. They may mingle with other aliens on the ship or in the cantina or whatever, in which case you see some alien diversity, but their home planet always has just one phenotype.

Yet on Earth we have one species with a multitude of phenotypes.
