Re: Random musings
I stopped (well drastically cut back) my soda intake a week ago.
I have already lost 6 lbs.
I [expletive] hate the world without my Mountain Dew.
[expletive] you.

The fake sugar make me sick.

Went for a run at lunch (pats self on back). Came back to office, and there was a food truck selling bacon wrapped hot dogs that smelled SO GOOD. SO MOTHER [expletive] GOOD.

Re: Random musings
After lunch at Church last week, (I had about 3 - 12 oz cups of Dr. Pepper), I was chasing the girls around the playground and felt like total [expletive]. That was when i decided enough was enough. I have cut my soda intake by about 80% I would say, and I feel a lot better already. I am only 2 1/2 years away from 50, if I want to be around for my grand kids, I need to get healthier.Michael wrote:Tea is better. Good for you.

I've had the same employer-provided health plan for 10 years now. I've literally never used it until last week. I never quite appreciated how big a $5,000 deductible is until now. If I ever have a kid or a major health event that I can somewhat schedule, I'm lining it up for early in the year, hitting that thing, and then going buck wild on elective & preventative procedures for the rest of the year.
