Not a Cardinal, but the Twins' other big free agent signing (Addison Reed) was sloppy today, too.misterManager wrote:Lance gave up a grand slam to Colin Moran. Walked six in four innings. Not the best.

Re: Former Cardinals Watch
Braves designated RHP Miguel Socolovich for assignment.
Socolovich pitched two perfect innings in his lone appearance for the Braves. There are worse relievers occupying bullpen spots in the majors, but there's still a pretty good chance that he'll clear waivers.

Jaime Garcia just threw a pitch that bounced and almost hit Abreu in the face after the bounce

With the Blue Jays up 7-1 in the top of the ninth on a misty night in Baltimore, Randal Grichuk laced a ringing double to deep centre field, snapping a historically terrible 0-26 slump. The slump, which is one of the longest in franchise history, caused Grichuk’s average to fall to a terrifying .059.

Wow. "Historically terrible" and "terrifying." Sounds like Grichuk is playing in Jurassic Park.CardsofSTL wrote:With the Blue Jays up 7-1 in the top of the ninth on a misty night in Baltimore, Randal Grichuk laced a ringing double to deep centre field, snapping a historically terrible 0-26 slump.
