Good luck, and Godspeed! What's the plan?

I've been running ideas through my mind for a while now. Everything from take her to Chicago and do it on top of the Sears tower, or at the lake front, or who knows what. I even briefly thought of taking her to Paris and proposing at the Eiffel tower, but that's just not her thing really. Do I go over the top special and romantic?

Ultimately I decided to keep it simple. She is not a "take me some place fancy" type of girl. Our best "dates" have probably been at the cabin on a warm summer night grilling out and watching the stars in each other arms. We have this silly tradition we do any time we are home at sunset and that's that if we can see the sunset we go out on the deck and watch it set over the lake in our back yard. So since it will probably be too cold to go to the cabin I'm thinking about doing that. Get some steaks and veggies on the grill, get her out on the deck for our usual sunset watching then just as the sun sets get down on one knee and ask her to marry me. I'm trying to think of something special to say. Something to let her know how much she means to me and how she changed my life. How she pulled me out of the darkness I was in after losing Nic. There are times when I get so lost in my own head I just want to give up, but then I see her and I realize she's worth any troubles I may have in any other parts of my life. I want to find a way to make sure she knows that.

So that's the plan right now. I hope it's good enough. I hope it's not disappointing to her.
That sounds perfect to me as well. It doesn't need to be something profound, just something from the heart.

I had a brief out of body experience just now when scrolling through my Twitter feed, and saw this tweet from NASA, which made me say "Arthur Dent!" out loud:

With the mess around DACA, immigration and Dreamers... is IMADreamer at risk of ICE showing up at his wedding to arrest him without any real cause based on his online handle alone? I think so.

I figure by the time the wedding comes around, ICE will be able to legally monitor all web traffic, among many other outrageous and currently unthinkable powers, and the name alone will put IMA right on the top of the list.
