Is it super romantic or lame getting engaged on valentine's day. Asking for a friend.

Romantic, I'd say.

I kinda think so too. I think I'm going to go for it.

I makes sense. I've know for a while now I wanted to, but I didn't know for sure if she did so I've worked it into a conversation or two. It's another one of those situations where she just never thought it was possible for her.

I always wanted to marry Nic, but we wanted to wait until she finished her PhD and as soon as she did that she got sick and we shouldn't have waited because we never did it. I know the chances of that happening again are small but I know I want it and I know she does so it just makes sense. She's the nicest girl I've ever met, never has a bad word about anything or anyone. She's unbelievably resilient and now that she has some confidence in her I don't think there is anything she can not do. I want to be there when she achieves her dreams. It's going to be really something.

So anyway, I've already been to the local jeweler and gotten some things in motion.
