This morning I saw a guy wearing an Alabama hat and a German trench coat with Polizei on the back. I bet he's progressive when it comes to matters of race.

Is it super romantic or lame getting engaged on valentine's day. Asking for a friend.

We aren't going to get married, but I'm giving my girlfriend a ring to wear on her left hand when we go out for her birthday in a couple of days. I'm killing two birds with one literal stone. I've been asking myself the same question.

Romantic, I'd say.

Awesome. Well, for your 'friend' of course.

I think it's a romantic thing as long as you know she's going to say yes and that it is going to last. I'd bet that Valentine's day is no longer romantic for a couple that got engaged on that day and then their marriage ended terribly four months after the wedding because they were not right for each other. From what I know of you as a couple, you don't have to worry about that though.

It's brilliant. You combine two landmark days into one so that's one less day you have to remember, plan for, etc.
