She is a shell of her former self now. I didn't realize how far she has slipped until Christmas Eve. I was in the basement with my dad and uncles when it was time to eat right after her, her husband and their son showed up. Two of us were actually dragging because we wanted to avoid her grace (which is more like a ten minute sermon where she breaks out in song at the end) and were surprised when people started coming back with food so quickly. Once I went to get my first round, it made sense though. She isn't able to stay in the moment enough to give one of her blessings before a meal.

And then as soon as the meal was over she packed up four plates to take to her daughter and two grandchildren and took three presents from the rob your neighbor pool even though the three of them only brought two which screwed everything else up. They literally showed up just for the meal, took leftovers and then quite literally robbed their neighbor by taking more gifts than they brought.
That doesn't sound like a very nice person. I'm learning to be more accepting of others though. Very rarely is one going to be able to change a person that doesn't want to be changed, so you might as well accept them for who they are.
I think it’s okay to be more accepting of others while at the same time knowing they are scourges on society. Maybe I mean less accepting but also less confrontational.

No country artist should ever use the term "Homeboy" and if they do then they deserve to be shot.

Full disclosure, I can't stand modern country.

I know, I hate it too. I hate myself....

For? This is the most interesting thing I've read on here in years. Why Togo?
Medical mission trip. Ten days in the African bush providing medical care and coordinating villagers with a local missionary.

That's really cool. I bet you take the most interesting trip of anyone on GRB this year.
Heading back in March. Kinda nice to not have internet for ten days.

The Lions Club is some amazing people. I don’t know if anyone on GRB is a member but those folks do some great work. I know the people of Togo appreciate the glasses.

I was browsing through the radio yesterday and stumbled on something called Boost 101. It's from the same people who bring you Joy FM and all the terrible stickers. I've never heard any of the artists (used Shazam), but they make music that sounds like Top 40 pop with "positive" lyrics, unlike that filthy Ariana Grande. I don't know who the audience is for this, though. Very strange phenomenon.

I googled Boost 101 and on their homepage they have Tedashi who is a Christian rapper. I am assuming Lecrae, a guy I enjoy, will be played on the station as well.

Looks to be Christian Hiphop.

Yeah, Christian Hip Hop is far from terrible, and I'm definitely guilty of lingering on Boost for a bit

I just started laughing at my desk when I the thought hit me that the point of your post completely went right over my head. You lost me when you mentioned 'filthy Ariana Grande' and my mind went in a horribly different direction that is decidedly not Christian hip-hop friendly.

8? Even when I was a teenager and everybody else was wearing their hats backwards, I thought it was stupid. Apparently I've been an old man since I was young.
