Can we have all of the winners get together in a gladiator style fight to the death until there is only one left? I'd be all for that. Might even buy it on pay per view.

What kind of an idiot gives a crossbow as his contribution to a rob your neighbor where there are only two people under the age of 40 (myself for another couple of months and him) and the rest are 58 and up? Three of the 13 people in the exchange were 80 years old. I can only imagine what my grandma's 80 something year old cousin who can't remember two seconds before would do if she ended up with it.

That being said, I'm glad he did because I ended up with it and even though it is a cheap pistol grip crossbow, it's awesome. It only has a 50lb draw but those bolts come out hot and would hurt pretty good if you were to take one in the butt. One of my uncles managed to break it by being an idiot and not following the instructions but I was able to order replacements for what he broke as well as spare strings and such that will eventually wear out. This time next week I'll be able to shoot boxes in my apartment all I want.

Well, this thought is a bit more random because I just thought of it while posting the one above. If my grandmother's 80 something year old cousin is truly a faith healer doing the work of God like she has claimed for all these years... why couldn't she heal herself when she started losing her mind? That actually happened quick too. Last October she was on some show and gave an interview (posted below) and claimed to be healing people and now she can't remember anything or anybody.

The video really gets 'interesting' about nine minutes in. I've never been able to make it through the entire thing. Now that I think about it, I might have posted this video before right at Thanksgiving and said I was thankful that I was going to be with my mom and not have to spend time with this woman.

I watched every second, and she seems like a wonderful woman.

She is/was always a very nice person. She is/wasn't evil or anything but I just can't deal with her faith being shoved in your face constantly any time I've been around her, especially the belief that she can literally heal people. She's a nut job.

She is a shell of her former self now. I didn't realize how far she has slipped until Christmas Eve. I was in the basement with my dad and uncles when it was time to eat right after her, her husband and their son showed up. Two of us were actually dragging because we wanted to avoid her grace (which is more like a ten minute sermon where she breaks out in song at the end) and were surprised when people started coming back with food so quickly. Once I went to get my first round, it made sense though. She isn't able to stay in the moment enough to give one of her blessings before a meal.

And then as soon as the meal was over she packed up four plates to take to her daughter and two grandchildren and took three presents from the rob your neighbor pool even though the three of them only brought two which screwed everything else up. They literally showed up just for the meal, took leftovers and then quite literally robbed their neighbor by taking more gifts than they brought.

That doesn't sound like a very nice person. I'm learning to be more accepting of others though. Very rarely is one going to be able to change a person that doesn't want to be changed, so you might as well accept them for who they are.

Got in the GF's car today to change the oil and she had Eric Church's "Homeboy" playing. God I hate Eric Church but all be damned if that song isn't catchy.

No country artist should ever use the term "Homeboy" and if they do then they deserve to be shot.

Full disclosure, I can't stand modern country.
