How so? Goold is an award winning sportswriter many times over, acting President of the BBWA, contributor to Baseball America and MLB Network, hosts one of the most successful baseball podcasts, and has one of the largest platforms of any baseball writer. Some of that comes naturally with the territory of covering the Cardinals, but he is pretty damn good. I guess because he doesn't write click bait articles or spew every unconfirmed rumor he hears, people are running laps around him?MrCrowesGarden wrote:Goold has had laps run around him for years by the national media.

Re: Cardinals/Marlins Offseason Dance - aka Stanton Thread
Stanton's defense should concern people majorly in RF. Why? Because he will need to be moved to LF full time by 30. And we have a guy named Fowler who will be giving us a light 105 wRC+/.790 OPS by then.
The team will command Sierra in CF because the corners will have dinosaurs. And I never liked Sierra's bat. Despite the good small samples. His bat is real bad. A high OBP Greg Garcia plate discipline is the best we can hope for.
I don't think the Cardinals are ready for Fowler to be a backup/floating OFer in two years. Three maybe, but not in two.

Let he who is without a Cards Talk post history cast the first stone. All are welcome here in the House of GRB.Farewell Friends wrote:He's just a troll from Cards Talk.go birds wrote:huh?

I've never posted anything that wasn't baseball related. I argued with racist Blue Lives Matter types on there, and they all hated me from then on out.heyzeus wrote:Let he who is without a Cards Talk post history cast the first stone. I'm a sabe guy to the core. I love advanced analytics and preferring Jon Jay over Peter Bourjos made them dislike me even more there.

When's the last time he broke a Cardinals trade? He gets lapped in that regard. And if you ask him if he's heard about another rumor it's always "who's saying that? I've never reported that." It's amazing he's within a stone's throw of the Cardinals and routinely gets beat on transactions by national writers. But sure, clickbait.
