I do think they need to have a good, exciting Plan B though. Missing on Stanton, I'm okay with. Missing on Stanton and settling for Carlos Gonzalez, I'm not.

Then maybe waiting for Stanton to stop batting his eyes at th3 Dodgers isn’t the best idea.

If we don't get him, i know the cards made a good effort.
The only concern I would have about the Cardinals offer is how much money they're willing to take on. It's the only other reason besides Stanton not wanting to play in St. Louis that this deal wouldn't get done. I'll just have to wait and see on that.

Yeah, it's not the moving on from Stanton part that bothers me so much. It's the moving on from Stanton and moving to Carlos Gonzalez and/or Eric Hosmer that bothers me so much. Those are "bang a cantaloupe" options.

How would you feel about Jose Abreu?

Maybe. But with no movement in the market at all, it's fine to hang around a while longer IMO.

Sounds like Stanton has provided preliminary list of teams he’d approve a trade to. Mentions it isn’t a final list and he hasn’t rejected any trade proposal yet...Only team listed in article is the Dodgers.

Leaking only one team sounds like Stanton's side is trying to get the Dodgers involved.

Sure would suck to have done all this work to have the Dodgers do absolutely nothing and have Stanton fall into their laps.

And/or they're using the Dodgers as leverage against other teams. LA is just playing the role of Mystery Team, Unmasked.

Sources say, as they tend to do this time of year, that Stanton could be traded by December 10th:
