I turned on the game just before Van scored to take a 3-1 lead. Crazy end of the 2nd period, and the boys pulled off the comeback. Wild game.

When a player (Shatty) has made it clear that he wants to take big money in free agency to go play for one of a couple of teams, with one clear preference, and has turned down extension offers... you're negotiating position is pretty weak. The Blues were in a horrible spot in trying to move Shattenkirk and get any decent return. He wanted to play for the Rangers and the Rangers (obviously now) wanted him so any team that made a trade with the Blues knew they were only getting a rental for a playoff run with a very, very slim chance of signing him to a longer term deal. Not an easy spot to negotiate from.JCShutout wrote:Jori with one assist and -4 in 12 games. That's... something. Hell of a trade. Gotta remember that we included 2 first rounders. Phi got a better return for Schenn than we did for Shatty, but its still a great move for us.

I hope Bouwmeester's return helps fix the shaky PK.

I can't believe this Oilers team was the favorite in the West to many experts. I would've agreed with them, but they look absolutely awful right now. McLellan is probably going to be fired soon. The players look like they've quit.

The Oilers are terrible... but what a top line for the Blues.

Nine years ago today the Blues traded Stempniak for Steen and Colaiacovo. Pretty amazing that deal is still paying off today.

I think you typed "nine" when you meant to type "five".MrCrowesGarden wrote:Nine years ago today the Blues traded Stempniak for Steen and Colaiacovo. Pretty amazing that deal is still paying off today.
