That was the first NFL game that I've actively watched in quite awhile. I enjoyed every minute of it aside from the Rams' first possession. I may be rooting for the Viqueens the rest of the way.

This is the one and only game I've watched all year, I switched to being a Vikings fan after the Rams left but the NFL is pretty much irrelevant to me so to call myself a fan of any team is a stretch. But if you plan on being a fan of the Vikes be ready to be disappointed in a grand fashion come playoff time.

This is a pretty accurate statement. As my local team, I don't mind cheering for the Vikings as long as they aren't playing against Green Bay. Despite being in the same division as my beloved Packers, I just don't really consider them a big rival because they were an expansion team. The Bears and Lions are much more intense rivalries, imo.

Lifelong Minnesotans obviously disagree with that; they love their Vikings fiercely and consider the annual home game against the Packers to be a huge huge rivalry game. I don't.

Now that I think about it... The Vikings are the one local team I cheer for that I don't have any sports clothing for - I have Twins, Wild, and St Paul Saints stuff (I don't follow the NBA in any capacity).

The Jaguars defense has been incredible this season, and yet they’ve still had three defensive touchdowns wrongly taken away this season. Two where they forced fumbles and recovered with clear paths to the end zone, but the play was blown dead prematurely, and one where their scoop and score that was ruled a TD was overturned and called down by contact despite clear, compelling evidence.

The Rams have scored five offensive touchdowns against the Redskins, Jaguars, Seahawks and Vikings.

Minnesota beat my (formerly beloved) Rams with one of their former Offensive Coordinators and the guy who started at QB for them at the start of last year. That made me happy but throw in the fact that Green Bay fans don't take them seriously? I'm sold. I'm a Viking fan for at least the rest of the year!

My dislike of Green Bay and their fans has nothing to do with you Swirls. I just know too many people here in St. Louis who are 'life long' Packer fans with no connection to Green Bay at all, never even been to Wisconsin once, were still young when the Rams came to St. Louis (I was 17 or 18 their first season) and would constantly talk trash about the Rams while they were here. Their attitudes soured me on Green Bay to the point of no return. About half of these same people also have a second favorite team in the AFC and I bet you can guess just who that is... Patriots. They are good friends but also horrible people.

It's all good. Like I said, I don't mind cheering for them if they're playing - as long as they aren't playing Green Bay. Obviously I'll be rooting for them in the playoffs, because it's pretty apparent that Green Bay is absolutely awful without #12.

It will be pretty sweet if they can somehow not screw the pooch in the playoffs and get to play in it here in Minneapolis this year. Mrs. Swirls and I actually signed up with Crew 52 to be part of the Super Bowl 52 host committee. We don't get actual tickets to the Super Bowl (obviously), but will be there on game day assisting with volunteer activities and such.

Just being around that atmosphere is going to be insane. I'm jealous. I'm still mad that I didn't get to go to the Superbowl the last time the Rams were in it. I literally had tickets in my hand and was ready to head down there with another girl in my group but our boss had to check with the upper management for permission to take the tickets from the vendor and the only way he could take them was if there was a drawing for the entire company so some lady from accounts receivable got them along with the company pitching in airfare and hotel on top of the tickets. Still pissed. Our group of five were the only people in the company that even used the forecasting software and myself and the other girl were the only two who could actually make the trip to the game on short notice. Those tickets should have been ours!!!

And I literally did have them in my hands at one point but had to hand them back over.
