I'm kind of over avoiding the NFL because of their arrogance, etc.

I don't pay attention other than for Fantasy Football. I haven't watched 10 minutes of football this year. I don't like the product. I find it boring and not exciting at all.

I've always found the league kind of boring, but I think football in general is boring. Thinking about football -- countering your opponent, changing the game plan, doing the little things to increase your probability of winning, etc. is more fun than actually watching it out play out. I'm also a little biased because I came of age with the GSOT and once you've experienced that, everything else is kind of boring.

It doesn't help the NFL that the college game has been reduced to a bunch of gimmicks that, while make it more interesting in theory, actually dooms most of the players once they get to the pros. And the college game itself is a grind to get through because of the stupid clock.

It's the NFL in general that has turned me off, not lack of a team.
I feel like those things go hand in hand. Not being vested means you're probably not going to be interested, I think. I totally understand why St. Louis folks would zone out. It hasn't been a great experience for them.

This year has probably been more boring too because it's been low scoring (at least in comparison to recent years.)

For some people I can see not being vested because of not having a team, but we're also NBA-less and for me, I still enjoy it. And I still take the way our city was [expletive] on personally, though I had issues with the league's play when the Rams were here.

Still an idiot Rams fan here.

Last nights game was crazy.

The Rams muffed a punt recovered by the 9rs in the Red zone.
Fumbled a kickoff late in the fourth quarter that allowed the 9rs a chance to score.
Missed an onside kick recovered by the 9rs with 2 minutes left in the game.
Their supposedly awesome defense gave up 39 points.
And still won the game.

The Rams are 2-1 - the combined records of the teams they have faced is 1-5.

As I've said before, you can't vote to let my team move to another city and then expect me to support you. No freaking way. Airing their weekly show and putting their preseason games (same with the Bears) on TV in St. Louis immediately after the Rams left sat with me the wrong way too. From a business perspective, it was a smart move for the Chiefs to vote to get the Rams out of the state so they could try and move in but still, screw them.

You have no idea how deep my bitterness towards the NFL goes these days. I'm being nice on this thread compared to what I really want to say. It would just be one long string of expletives that wouldn't make it past any filter and would end up getting me banned.

That is horrible news. I was all excited and wishing I'd watched the game last night (didn't even realize they were playing) until I got to that part about them winning. The only way I'll go out of my way to watch the NFL these days is to hate watch the Rams. I would have been very upset to watch that debacle and have them still win. StanK and Demoff can eat a bag of penises.

I agree with the Stan and Demoff hate. The game was a mess. Injuries all over the field too. They need to drop these Thursday night games.
