Can I skip season 2 and go straight to 3?

I wouldn't but you could probably get away w/ it. While season 2 continues the Escobar saga, it also develops some of the Cali carter characters which is the focus of season 3.

Yes. You'll miss a little context, but nothing huge.

Just watched some westworld. Question, how do the humans know who they can kill and rape and who they can not? Like, what if some visitor got hammered, lost a hand of poker and then shot the guy who won only to find out that guy he shot was another human, not a host? Or...you know, if a visitor raped another visitors wife or something....seems like a huge hole in the story.

Why would you want to skip 2 if you saw 1? Don't you want to see the Escobar finale?

Why would you want to skip 2 if you saw 1? Don't you want to see the Escobar finale? Yeah, it's embellished a lot, but the Escobar saga is an interesting one.

I don't disagree. Season 2 is the weakest season, but I think it's worth watching.

Season 3 has better writing and direction, but it doesn't have an antagonist as good as Escobar. Jorge's storyline is excellent, however. I also think season 3 handled the DEA side better than in previous seasons.

I believe the guns only work on the hosts. I think other human to human interaction is just monitored and policed. Hosts can intervene to break up fights, and I think it's implied there are humans planted throughout. Might have picked up some of that from behind the scenes material. Don't recall now. But it's full of holes even apart from all that.

It's been in my que for months and I haven't gotten interested enough to watch it.

What are some other holes you've noticed? How does the geospatial shift happen? They show the park to be on a bit table maybe 30' in circumference or so. Then, they show the people on the train in that park. But, they're able to go into the park and bring the hosts out to real life size. How does that shift happen...where they blow the hosts (and guests) up/down by what is probably about 5k times bigger/smaller?
