A guy on The Price Is Right bid $14,000 on a Showcase with a new kitchen, a trip to Australia and a new car. He was off by $18,000.

I've been watching Schitt's Creek on Netflix and I really like it. It a comedy that stars Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara as rich people who lost everything and end up living in a dumpy small town motel with their kids. Each episode hardly has any plot, the show basically stands back and lets the excellent cast do their thing. It's a hoot.

As for Mr Robot... I just finished the 1st season and I just don't know, man. I think thrill said it best - you have to "surrender to it's eccentricities", which I'm having trouble doing. At certain points my brain was rebelling against what I was watching. I also think the mental illness angle was interesting at first, but it got tiresome as the season wore on. That said, Mr. Robot is a solid show. It's below Breaking Bad, but better than Ozark.

When did AV Club go over to the Gawker network?
Disappointing, IMO, inasmuch as Gawker was, and still remains to some extent with Sabado Gigante or whatever, a worthless diarrhea rag. Definitely harder to navigate.

i was gonna ask the same exact question a couple weeks ago, and then saw where theyve been a part of the gawker network for quite some time. they just switched over the the gawker format only recently.BottenFieldofDreams wrote:When did AV Club go over to the Gawker network?

i was disappointed to say the least considering how gawker just absolutely destroyed i09. it was the only safe haven from the dip sh*t gawker/jezebel/deadspin posters. not so much anymore.
another one bites the dust.

Does that mean the Onion as well?BottenFieldofDreams wrote:When did AV Club go over to the Gawker network?

Looks like Univision got The Onion too. If that means I'll have to get my satire (and the world's only sanity at present) with ragebait links* every third word and the daily deals every fifth and Drew Magary ishting on people for liking the wrong things only a click or two away at all times, I'll be very upset.
Otoh, if Univision funds video again I'd be thrilled. I've missed Today Now and In the Know a lot since the last Onion purchase.
*The one I think I like the most, as I still get to Lifehacker occasionally, is the petulant rage-filled Pokemon GO update rants that I see a link to every time I do.

The third season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt came out like 4 months ago. I've only made it through 3 episodes. Somehow it went from being great to borderline unwatchable.

Interesting. I didn't have that response at all. Are you just tired of the same old stuff, or do you think it's gotten worse?Popeye_Card wrote:The third season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt came out like 4 months ago. If you didn't get to Titus in the recording studio, I'd suggest firing it back up.
