And this next season is their last.
I love The Middle (and Eden Sher, she's really the standout IMO). Heard about next season being the last today too. Might've been an underappreciated show but it still will have run nine seasons when all is said and done. To make it that long while still being not extremely highly thought of is something of an accomplishment. I suppose it was ABC's second most prominent sitcom next to Modern Family, maybe third since the rise of Black-ish.
So apparently the CBS show "Kevin Can Wait" is killing off the actress who played Kevin James' wife and replacing her with... Leah Remini, who guest starred on an episode.
So, we're doing The King of Queens again? Just get Jerry Stiller and bring the band back together?

i've read about this and it's hilarious. i've never gotten the appeal of kevin james. it's going to be the exact same show and they keep saying "no its not!"
I liked The King of Queens when I was a teen and in my early 20s. I still watch reruns on TBS, probably for nostalgia purposes. I at least get the appeal of Kevin James.
That said, I had no interest in the new series when it first started, and I really don't need a literal King of Queens reboot.
the only funny thing about KoQ (to me) (i also think its the only sustained moment i've watched the show) was when patton oswalt trolled the show and just stood still for an entire scene
I thought King of Queens was hilarious...mostly the Kevin James Jerry Stiller interactions over the Leah Remini chemistry. I think the problem people had with the new show was that they couldn't get older fatter Kevin James with a younger prettier wife than what he had on King. I actually liked her in the new series and now that they are making this switch; I am not sure I will be interested in season 2.
