I feel bad for Allen Craig. At least he made a ton of money.

http://www.stltoday.com/sports/columns/ ... 0ce0e.htmlAnthony Castrovince, Sports on Earth: "(Mark) Reynolds is likely to get hosed when the All-Star rosters are announced. At least he's helped the Rox become one of the NL's best. Reynolds already profiled as a perfect player for Coors Field, but he didn't take advantage of the home environs last year as much as this year. He's only on the 2017 roster as the product of a Minor League invite, but he capitalized on Ian Desmond's early season injury and has posted a sensational .339/.433/.694 slash with 13 homers and 34 RBI through 35 games at Coors."

Craig was hitting .316 this year so hopefully someone takes a flyer on him and gives him a minor league deal.

Since agreeing to a minor league deal with the Washington Nationals, veteran pitcher Edwin Jackson has only tossed a handful of innings for the Syracuse Chiefs. Nevertheless, he has been effective, although wild, in the short Triple-A stint.
Jackson has made three starts for the Chiefs over the last two weeks. The result has been a surprising 12.1 innings of no-hit baseball.
This averages out to about 4 innings per start which isn’t even enough to qualify for the win. Still, it’s an accomplishment worth watching.

Jon Jay apparently pitched for the Cubs, putting up some 47mph heat.

Well, that pretty much sums up what we all knew.....Jon Jay's arm is complete [expletive]; from the article: "he tested at the low 80s from the outfield, so he has the ability to bring some heat"; low 80's from the OF which likely means charging the ball and throwing from a crow-hop is absolutely AWFUL, hell....I'm pretty sure I can throw low 80's doing that same drill.Famous Mortimer wrote:Jon Jay apparently pitched for the Cubs, putting up some 47mph heat.
