Re: Music talk Thread
After downloading something in the region of 500 gb of Grateful Dead releases over the last week or so, I've started listening to them. Their first album sounds like every other mid-late 60s psychedelic band, so I'm looking forward to them branching out.

It's an honor to have you at GRB, Mr. Albini. Atomizer was a great album.BottenFieldofDreams wrote:
No. It's not ok. I just can't allow it, as your question is probably some disingenuous ploy to usurp my spot on Analog Mountain. Sorry.

You know that's not a real headline, right? It did happen to Ravi Shankar once though.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Hahahahahahahaha most pretentious fans ever.

Re: Music talk Thread
Totally implausible.
If it said "Radiohead fans mistake band standing around waiting for drum machine drivers to update for performance art piece" I might be duped.
I like to think that their old drummer* is scratching my childhood dog's belly at the farm owned by that nice family my parents gave Buster to.
*The reason I don't know the drummer's name is because I believe Radiohead's music is so good it transcends the feeble constructs of humanity and physical individuality.**
**I stand by this, even though it is insulting to try and describe the music of Radiohead with any known words in any existing language.***
***Which is why I'm constructing a new language for this very purpose.****
****I started a story to sort of stretch out this language which has sort of accidentally turned into a four novel epic. Guillermo Del Toro is attached, with Peter Jackson as a failsafe.

Poke fun all you want but radiohead at lollapalooza last year was the most spiritual musical experience I've ever had (-not a "fan")

sony is gonna re-introduce vinyl.
kinda cool that in my lifetime music playback has come full ass circle as far as sound quality is concerned:
vinyl -> 8 track -> cassette -> cd -> stealing music -> vinyl
all in my lifetime.
i mean vinyl never really went away, but life digital is on it way out. hell yea baby!

How many adrogynous Korean teen boys does it take to sing a K-Pop song?
It is a bizarre and fascinating genre. As many as 12, seriously. We went to Korean BBQ, and my wife stopped trying to talk to me, as I was entranced by the music videos playing.
