Re: 2017-2018 Blues (Hockey) Season
I think Perron makes the most sense for them since he's in the last year of his deal and would be a prime candidate to flip for more draft picks or prospects which seems to be the plan for Vegas here in the beginning.
Sucks because I've always liked Perron as a person from following him on Twitter so I was glad to have him back on the team. Where he really got me was during the playoffs in 2011. I know the entire team was following the Cards run to the championship but Perron was the one I always saw tweeting his excitement. I really loved his tweet that the Blues woke the entire hotel up with their cheering when the Cards pulled off one big win (forget which one it was but it was before the WS I think).

I'd be happier if Perron simply vanished in the playoffs. Unfortunately he is quite clear on the TV screen as he skates to the box after another dumb penalty.
That said, I prefer if they take Lehtera. Jaskin makes the most sense though, from LV's perspective.

JR says it's done-- Perron to LV.Popeye_Card wrote:I'd be happier if Perron simply vanished in the playoffs. Unfortunately he is quite clear on the TV screen as he skates to the box after another dumb penalty.

I have a feeling it would've been Jaskin if we exposed Reaves instead of Perron.

Vegas already has three 1st rounders and could have more. The Islanders traded a boatload to keep the guys they want.

That was a great link. I especially love the part about Jackman because I've always had a ton of respect for Jackman. He took a lot of heat, much of it unjustified, for his play but I've NEVER heard anybody say anything even remotely bad about him off of the ice.
And by unjustified I am referring to the times I was at games and he would get blamed by idiot fans around me when the Blues gave up a goal even though he hadn't been on the ice. The idiots didn't like it when I got fed up and asked them if they meant that they wouldn't have given up the goal if Jackman had been on the ice because he was on the bench. No wonder I never made any friends at Blues' games when I had regular access to tickets. I couldn't keep my smart mouth shut.

Re: 2017-2018 Blues (Hockey) Season
It's a great example of how us fans don't know what we're talking about.
Jackman was recently hired as a developmental coach by the Blues. On several forums the response I saw by fans was "Why would they let that guy teach hockey? He wasn't good enough!" and comments along those lines.
We as fans know nothing about Jackman's personality or how he was behind the scenes for the team. Tarasenko's article gives a small bit of insight into what the Blues saw with Jackman that gives him the potential to excel in his new role. That's something we as fans rarely have good insight into.

Is there really Blues fans that think Jackman wasn't good?
I thought he was great.

There are a lot of fans who thought Jackman sucked because he brought virtually zero offense to the table. And of course opposing fans hated him because there was some grit to his game.Leroy wrote:Is there really Blues fans that think Jackman wasn't good?

I always liked him as a defensive player and leader. Thought he should have been the captain over Brewer in those days.
