Jimmy Johns

Post by wart57 »

Just ate my 3rd $1.00 sub from Jimmy Johns customer appreciation night last night.
The whole fam stood in line twice, and we got 12 of the 8 inch subs for a total of about $13.00 after tax.
Good eating.

Yes, I am a cheap mother [expletive].

Yes, yes you are.

Honestly I thought this would be a rant about them running out of $1.00 subs.

I stopped in there yesterday for the first time in at least a year, only because I heard they were running that special and the place by me had a short line. They didn't say anything about it only being for the smaller subs so I ordered one of the bigger ones. After they made the sandwich in a blink of an eye and asked me for $7 I said to change it to the $1 version of the same one, and they were like "oh, it's ok we'll take care of it" giving me the impression I was paying a dollar like I wanted to all along. They had to know everyone was coming in there for that deal, right? Then they ring it up for $1 but add on an up charge for extra meat and cheese and it comes to $2.97. I wasn't going to argue or insist they make me a dollar one so I paid it and left. Bastards.

I'll add one pro on the pro/con list, they don't really have a minimum delivery so I can order just a sandwich for myself and get it delivered to the office with a total of under $10 including a delivery charge of under $1. It's really the only time I ever have JJ's since I don't have any that will deliver to my apartment even though I'm less than two miles away from two different stores, one of which is basically next door to a Domino's that delivers to me.
