Re: Random musings
Man, both of my kids do this. This weekend, Zeus Jr. Jr. (almost 2 years old) stuck her hands in some water (???) on the floor of a YMCA bathroom, and was on her way to putting said hands in her mouth when I intercepted. Kids: They're like tiny, adorable, incredibly stupid versions of you.Gashouse wrote:When you take a 3 y.o. to a large stadium event (US Womens Nat Team game at the new Vikings stadium) and he insists on running his hands along railings as we go up and down stairs, and then when you stop at the grocery store on the way home and you have to tell him twice to stop running his mouth along the back of the seat in the cart with the race car on the front of the cart (and you don't know how long he had been doing it before you saw him the first time), you know he's in for a nasty cold in a couple of days and may have to stay home from day care.

I forget how peaceful it is to watch the morning news without all the political ads.

Women look better without makeup. Case in point is Alicia Keys.

Re: Rant/Rave: Bourbon
My nephew is such an entitled jerk. Grew up in a modest enough home but his parents treated him like some golden child and now he's just a rotten 22 year old. Too arrogant to work a job beneath him, rude beyond belief to his mother, entitled. Last night I heard him tell his mom to [expletive] off re looking for a job. The kid has a degree from an elite uni so I guess he expects Scottrade or Stifel to come give him a high paying desk job.
No I didn't clock him but only bc my sister created this monster.

Re: Rant/Rave: Bourbon
Sometimes it takes a while for the entitlement to wear off. My bro is an unbelievable artist. He went to a very expensive art school for college. My very middle class parents went pretty much broke trying to put him through. When he graduated, he moved back in with us. I remember him and my dad going round and round about his job hunting -- though my brother never cussed at him or mouthed off too bad. He was holding out for the perfect job, and my dad kept telling him he had to get ANY job. They finally said he was going to have to pay rent. He got a part time job after that but was really pissed about it. Eventually he found his first design job and lived happily ever after.lukethedrifter wrote:My nephew is such an entitled jerk.
