I asked casually this morning. She said: "I don't have a clue what's in there. If there's something you don't want anyone to drink, just tell me for next time." Which is fair enough I guess. She's not a whiskey person, knows how to shake herself up a Last Word or a Papa Doble and can toss together a glass of Ti' Punch and otherwise sticks to hoppy beers and sparkling wine. So I'm going to get a bunch of little circle stickers and pop them on the bottoms of the bottles that are not for consumption by that stupid goddamn Buzz and his goddamn stupid voice and his [expletive] stupid haircut.

That's a 1989 hip flask of WL Weller Special Reserve, 7 years old--back when Special Reserve still had the age statement.
And a larger 375mL of Old Weller 107 from the early 90s.

How much of them did he drink? Like was the hip flask unopened or mostly full before last night? Or did he only like one glass' worth of whiskey? Either way it's a douche thing to do. Your wife may not know that it was expensive fancy bourbon, but if he was oooohing and ahhhhing last Fall at what you had, he sure as [expletive] knew it was, and intentionally took advantage of your wife's not knowing.

Does he ever come to your restaurant? If so, the next time he orders a drink, charge him for the bourbon he stole last night. And then once he orders food, tell the cooks in the back to go all "Waiting..." on his meal.

Both of those bottles were unopened. I talked to Themissus54 and she said she didn't realize what he was opening. Some of the others had some and the yoga buddies agreed that it wasn't very good and was too strong. It's not her fault. There's a lot of booze in our house, and I think she took him at his word that it wasn't a big deal. I told her it's a big deal and she agreed that he's a shady POS and that if he comes over again he's not to touch anything other than what he brings. There are like 9 women and 2 men in my wife's group of friends who teach yoga at the same place. They have a monthly dinner party, rotating hosts. He's been dating one of the yoga buddies for just under a year, so hopefully they will have broken up before it's our turn in the rotation again. Last time I was home for it, wish I had been home last night. I'm usually home on Tuesdays but I switched my schedule around a bit this week.

No, he never comes in. I've only met him once before.
