If you drink it straight from the teat I suspect you burn a few extra calories. Just a thought

Getting my thyroid straight should help weight loss. I've probably drank a gallon a day for 25 years and hasn't been a problem till the thyroid deal.Swirls wrote:Yeah, if you want to stop the weight gain, eliminate the gallon of whole milk each day. Replace it with water.
You could literally make no other change whatsoever with your diet and not make any change to your current level of daily physical activity, and you will see significant weight loss after just a few weeks.

Yeah. ++ on the stop drinking empty calories. You might be in awesome shape in a year or two if you just switched to a lot of water.

Re: Getting into shape
I've lost 34 lbs in the last couple months. Here are the rules.
- Eat less than 2,000 calories per day.
- Go to bed hungry.
- No processed flour, sugar or red meat.
- Zero liquid calories.
- Cheat meals are for pussies.
I do some pushups and situps here and there and go to the batting cages. I also work on my feet. That's it.

I don't think you're doing the math here. That's way too much caloric intake, thyroid or no.
I feel like this is getting to an intervention level crisis.

New Study Suggests Wearing a Fitness Tracker May Impede Weight LossDiddy wrote:So how accurate is a fit bit? I've had some health issues and gained about 30 pounds in the last year. My wife bought me one and I've been wearing it for two weeks now. According to it I'm averaging about six miles walked a day and 6400 calories burned a day. At first I thought that seemed high but it's been pretty consistent, but still seems high.
stress is huuuuge. The so-called “train gain” effect occurs when the strain of workouts leads to overeating, rewarding yourself with food or stress-induced changes to metabolism. It’s possible that the subjects who wore the fitness trackers were more aware of the intensity of their efforts, and therefore more likely to eat too much.

Re: Getting into shape
No I understand I was just meaning that it's not something new that's the cause of the weight gain. Until i got married I drank 2% because I drink so much but my wife insists in whole. It'll be a lot easier to drink less pop then milk. It's somewhat nice to know that I should be able to lose weight without a bunch of changes but also it's not an easy change to make.lukethedrifter wrote:Diddy wrote:Getting my thyroid straight should help weight loss.
