I discovered my own personal hell today. I needed a new set of tires and Walmart was $100 cheaper than anyone else, which is enough to get me to bite. They don't take appointments but there's one by me that's not very busy. I stop in and they say it's an hour or hour and a half tops. They ended up milking it and magically hand me my keys 3 hours and 15 minutes later exactly as they close. Three plus hours in a Walmart is a goddamn eternity. I ended up eating at a Subway for the first time in years out of sheer boredom. My cell phone died about halfway through and I'm out of smokes. They have these metal benches that are somehow more uncomfortable than sitting on the floor and a TV that is of course playing Family Feud, my least favorite show on TV. It was like a perfect storm of [expletive] that I hate.

The best part is I leave and get on the highway and as soon as I hit about 60 my car starts vibrating badly. I know [expletive] all about cars but I'm assuming they didn't balance the tires correctly. So now I have to take off work in the morning to go chew someone's ass and get it fixed. I hope this doesn't turn into a groundhog day situation because that means I'm dead.

Maybe they didn't secure all of your lug nuts

This is quite possible. ALL tire places recommend that after a short period of driving (50 miles or less) that you come back to make sure none of the lug nuts have backed out and loosened. Obviously, you can do it yourself, but it's definitely something that can happen (although it's not typical).

It's just as likely those idiots didn't tighten them correctly.

It just hit me the other day that the vast majority of professional athletes are too young to run for President. I looked it up and about 90% wouldn't qualify due to age.

A 35 year old baseball player is typically considered over the hill or near the end of his career. There's never been a 35 year old candidate for a major polticial party.

I get there at 7:05 this morning and they make me wait behind the two people that beat me there, even though it's to fix their screwup. A little over an hour later they said it was a balancing issue that's been fixed. I get on the highway to go to work and the same [expletive] thing is happening. I go back and they have another guy look at it and he decides that three of the tires are defective to begin with, something about a slipped belt. They only have two more tires in stock. They want me to let them put two on (not knowing if they are defective too) and then drive to another walmart ten miles away to wait in their line for the other two tires. Kiss my ass mother [expletive]. I made them put my old tires on from last night and give me a refund. The manager tried to say he couldn't do it because of damage to the old tires but I made it clear I was done with the BS. I'm now at a real tire store where I should have gone in the first place, looking at about 10 hours altogether to get a set of tires. [expletive] walmart.

I wouldn't go to Wal Mart for tires if they were free. Sounds like a typical hellish Wal Mart experience.

Why do most microwaves have a "Baked Potato" button? Are that many people zapping whole potatoes in their microwaves?
