Already happening - Texas just built the first direct reuse facility in the U.S.! (This is a project my firm has worked on).

btw, not to get gross, but every molecule of water you drink has already been consumed and excreted by another living thing fairly recently.

I was pretty sure one or more of those was online, but didn't remember where it was

Esp if you get your water from a river. Now that we moved to suburbia, our drinking water is groundwater so it hasn't been part of anything's poop for a long time. My drinking water in Mpls came from the Mississippi and there are still plenty of treatment plants that discharge into the river upstream. Our Mpls water was always fantastic.

Right.

One thing that drives me nuts about Little Rock is the water company, Central Arkansas Water, has a lake that they use for a reservoir and another one in the City. No swimming in them because they don't want people to pee in the water. Well, [expletive] guys, fish live in there and excrete feces. And, the water goes through a treatment process.

We represent the DeKalb Sanitary District I know this to be the truth. It's also why I drink bottled water.

What is the purpose of spitting gum out on to the sidewalk? Does one just like being an ass?

The same is true of the bottled water.

Edit: Not to say DeKalb water isn't uniquely gross.

True, but I just like the extra layer of purification whether it helps or not. And I should clarify....I run my water through a Brita filter (I don't want anyone yelling at me for wasting plastic bottles).

Also, what is the point of flicking cigarette butts on the ground when there is a trash can/butt holder right next to where you flick it?

Someone has to pick that [expletive] up, thanks for being an ass.

Our freaking Executive VP/CIO does that and it drives me absolutely insane (the cigarette butt thing). He'll literally be standing two feet from a receptacle designed to put it in and he'll toss it on the ground. Actually, it seems that a lot of our Indian employees do the same thing. The EVP/CIO doing it is the worst though. Come on man, you're running the entire IS infrastructure of a multi-billion dollar global organization. Don't be a dick and litter.

Otherwise he's a really nice guy and I like him a lot though.
