But we know he doesn't. His insistence on calling him Cassius Clay makes it pretty apparent.

Ok so Brock Allen Turner is the Stanford swimmer who violently raped a girl behind a dumpster who was passed out after a party. She had a very long statement that went viral you may have read. Well, Brock is the biggest asshat of this whole thing by far, but there are a couple others of note.

First, his dad: Second, the judge that only gave him 6 months in prison plus 3 years probation. Turner was found guilty unanimously of 3 felonies. The judge gave him special consideration since he was losing his scholarship, was traumatized himself, etc. There is already talk of recalling the judge.

This is the victim's letter that went viral. It's very long and frankly it's tough to read:

I'm surprised they didn't try for an affluenza defense.

"20 minutes of action" has to be one of the most infuriating phrases I've read in recent memory. Really, protective dad of convicted rapist?

Yes, long and tough to read but well worth it.

I think asshat is too light a term for monsters like that kid and his father. Judicial system is depressing in this case.

Has anybody else seen Brian Banks' response to this sentence. That guy amazes me. After what he's been through (62 months in jail and 5 years of heavily restricted probation) for a rape he didn't even commit as a 16 year old, I can't believe he keeps it together. I would be so filled with rage after all these years that I'd probably have gone on a rampage against all those who helped screw me over. Sure he might have a cushy gig with the NFL now but he also lost a college scholarship and possible NFL career along with a large chunk of his teens and early adulthood over a lie and no physical evidence that a rape even happened.

And people don't understand why certain groups don't trust the justice system?

He's right about 20 minutes ruining the life of a young person... too bad he's talking about the wrong one.

Doesn't even take 20 minutes to shoot and kill somebody. I bet he doesn't have compassion for those that have murdered. Of course they also aren't his son so clearly they are hardcore criminals as opposed to his innocent little baby boy.

You guys are completely glossing over the nightmare of not being able to eat ribeye steak anymore. And how sad his father now is that he can't get excited anymore to go buy those steaks to grill up. So much pain.
