Everything went south really quickly for him, didn't it?

One day he woke up, and he was the baseball equivalent of a cockroach.

I admit I thought he was going to be our catcher of the future. Granted, it was during the black hole season Yadi put up in 2006, but oof, it looks bad now.

Blue Jays signed LHP Randy Choate to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Choate held a 4.26 ERA over the last two seasons for the Cardinals and saw his effectiveness versus left-handed batters wane. However, he might still be useful if employed the right way and is of no risk to the Jays on a minor league deal. Choate could have a shot at a bullpen spot with Aaron Loup (elbow) slated to begin the season on the disabled list.

I like the clause "if employed the right way." Specifically, to come in and pitch to the other team's LOOGY.
