I don't think there's any through line intended for this run, and the random stuff was where X-Files excelled. I'd be fine if they just ditched the aliens altogether.go birds wrote:I'll just come out and say it--the new X-Files just isnt good.
The 2nd episode was OK, but i wish they would have just stuck with one storyline. And there's a swamp thing in the next episode? I dunno. They only have 6 episodes to tell their story and it just looks like a bunch of random stuff with be thrown together with some sort of phoned in conclusion.

It's getting great reviews, but I'm not gonna watch it. That entire episode was sickening and depressing when it happened in real life.MrSaigon wrote:Wow, Greenwald LOVES the OJ thing.

I just want to see a clip of Malcolm Jamal Warner making the phone call from the Bronco.

I concur. It was on TV all the time - what could we have missed? especially wouldn't want to see an entire series on it. If they were to make a feature length pic about Johnny Cochran during the OJ trial, or OJ the Musical! something like that -that would be more interesting than attempted recreation.Vidor wrote:It's getting great reviews, but I'm not gonna watch it. I obviously know the general details of what went down, but I was at the age where I really didn't give a [expletive] about OJ Simpson or what he did, so I'm going to watch it.
