Hayley Atwell's breasts are back on TV, with Season 2 of "Agent Carter" premiering last night.

Watched the premiere of Billions on Showtime. It's got potential.

It was decent. It sounds like it gets better in the coming episodes. This was a pretty good review:GeddyWrox wrote:X-Files was a good start!

Way late, but I am nearly done with Jessica Jones on Netflix.
I dug the slow burn for awhile, much because of my hypnotic attraction to Krysten Ritter whom i totally TV-crushed for on Breaking Bad. This corny ass dialogue and action is getting to me.
Broadchurch then this, twice now I burned through a series with potential and Tennant (great in Broadchurch, woefully hamming it here) and hardly wanted to finish the season.

The consensus of what I've read, which I agree with, is they should have either shortened the number of episodes or started off with her just working regular cases and getting to Kilgrave later. Maybe even have him behind the cases in some way, but delay his introduction.Maclowery wrote:Way late, but I am nearly done with Jessica Jones on Netflix.

I thought the first new X-Files was terrible. I understand what they were doing, and that some exposition was needed, but that scene with Joel McHale and Duchovny running down every conspiracy from the last 10 years was painful. Ditto the scene with Scully and Mulder on the porch. Duchovny just looked uninterested until the very end. Joel McHale was not a great choice for his part. Nina from The Americans gave the best performance in the episode.
To be fair, the original pilot is pretty lame and Duchovny wasn't very good then either. The writer/director of the 3rd episode is my favorite writer from the past seasons and supposedly it's very good.

Joel McHale is a weak actor and when the dialog is bad, he's wooden. He can't play anything other than heightened versions of Joel McHale.
I enjoyed watching a new x files episode, but Chris Carter is terrible. He can't write dialog and he hasn't found a coherent end game for his conspiracy in TWO DECADES. He had hall of fame writers and show runners on his staff. Glen Morgan, Vince Gilligan, James Wong and Frank Spotnitz are responsible for some of the most ground breaking and popular TV ever. Hard to think anything other than they propped him up.
How many times is Carter going to use the trope of "Old man involved in conspiracy has change of heart and dangles the truth in front of mulder but won't just outright explain it to him despite the fact that he might die at any time?"
