Well I have a doctor apointment for next Monday for this knee thing. I assumed it would just get better but after a few days it's getting worse I think. It's not really my knee but the side of it just below it.

After hearing what you're describing, I think it's leprosy

Our gym-rec center is too small. But i still prefer it over the mega plexes. We went to some monstrosity in Chicago when visiting once-(jim will appreciate this-we went because our kids needed to blow off steam, and it was too damn cold outside). I wasnt there long enough to figure it out. But was kind of overwhelming, and didnt look too convenient.

I guess i prefer navigating thru the familiar weirdos at my gym than at a bigger place.

Mine is a local, non-chain place that has been around for 40 years. In fact, there are people that have been members there the entire time which is amazing. It's huge, it has everything including a great lounge area with free Papa Nichols coffee, but it's sleezy like the chain places. It's not a pickup place, and the average age is probably way up there. It feels small but it's not, the people at the front desk say Good Morning Jim etc.. Here is the place, I really like it:

I don't know where you are freed when you are up here, but if you need a place to get a workout in and you aren't far let me know, you can be my guest.

I have a membership to East Bank Club. It's awesome, but completely ridiculous. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about: my wife as seen Oprah working out there.

My wife is a workout junkie so she gets a lot of value from it. I belong because it's walking distance from work and adding me was "only" 130 dollars more a month.

Anyway, the place makes me feel poor.

Thanks. My bro-the WIU alum is not far from there. but if the opportunity arose, we better instead be at the pub watching a Cardinal game.
.
BTW-the place that looked like a cluster was a Lifetime Fitness like the one in Bloomingdale IL. we went to one somewhere else, but it looked like that.

Day Before Tgiving I took a jog near Bloomindale at Mallard Lake FP. Cold. Hard by the landfill. People were still fishing it though.

The lockers at the Y are small and rusty. Not sure I really want to hang my work shirt in them.

Also, having a workout junkie for a wife isn't the worst thing.

You were 15 minutes from me. I know a great place to eat and watch a game nearby.

Fitness is top priority next year. I'm still okay from weight standpoint, just a few lbs added, but need to work on strength and endurance again now that all known health issues have been resolved.
