Re: Random musings
I get having a couple alarms within 20 minutes of each other, or less. That's how mine are set. But yeah, stretched out over 2 hours doesn't seem like a good idea.

Here's a thing that just happened.
Walked into the bathroom. Guy in one of the stalls. Smell was, perhaps, the worst I have experienced in a bathroom (please remember I lived in, and traveled around SE Asia for years). Turned around and exited immediately. Started heaving on the way to my desk. Was asked if I was ok.

One good thing about kids is you don't need an alarm clock. Even without a kid now, I couldn't sleep past 8 if I tried, and I rarely get to sleep past 6:30 on most days.ghostrunner wrote:I get having a couple alarms within 20 minutes of each other, or less. That may change. Our 5 and 10 year old both now sleep until we wake them up on school days. On the weekends though, the 10 year old has been making their cereal for a couple years now, so we get to sleep in.AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote:One good thing about kids is you don't need an alarm clock. She doesn't realize she's doing more harm than good regarding her rest/sleep by doing that?MrCrowesGarden wrote:It really doesn't bother me that much. I'm up before my alarm (or her alarm, for that matter) more times than not. Mine is more of a safety net than anything else. Setting an alarm to wake up nearly 4 hours before she has to be at work is about as ridiculous as I've ever heard! What's the reasoning?

Though the wife and I alternate mornings on the weekends, so we each get 1 day a week to sleep in past the inevitable human alarm clocks.

I'm with you AW. I haven't set an alarm in years. Some child is up by 6:30 without fail.letsgocards89 wrote:+1AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote:One good thing about kids is you don't need an alarm clock.
