If my old firm had a facebook page that accepted irate, racially offensive, and spastically capitalized rants, he would have.KyCardinalFan wrote:Has your dad written your former firm telling them how they ruined you?heyzeus wrote:I'm finally up against my old law firm in a case. The "tiny home" trend that is being popularized on tv shows (admittedly I am intrigued) - these things weren't so romantic when we called them mobile homes and trailers (double wides excluded).

Re: Random musings
My current work shift is 6 am to 3:30 pm. My company "merged" with another company, we were actually bought by an investment firm that also owns another company that we are "merging" with - the other company was smaller and less profitable yet with this "merger" our company is basically being taken over by the other one. I have until Sep 25, and then I will get let go. I interviewed with the new company, and if I get the job, my new work schedule will be 6 am to 4 pm. My wife is irate about the new work schedule. Even thought I would continue on without a loss in pay or benefits, she is absolutely livid that I will have to work an extra 30 min per day, and my dive will be 5 minutes longer to the other companies D.C.

And I will have an actual office with a door and everything, no more cubicle for me!heyzeus wrote:I hope you get to keep your job. And hey, extra half hour for GRB!
But my wife will have to deal with the kids for an extra 35 minutes before I take over and she can sit on her ass and do nothing the rest of the night.

A group of people are trying to start a private Christian school in my county. There reasoning of course according to their radio interview this morning "Obbummer the devil negro moooslim is indoctrinating our kids in public school and we have to stop him converting them to ISIS." It's sounds absurd, but I'm not really joking. They used the world liberal agenda many times in their interview.

Which is absurd, considering that public school textbooks are overwhelmingly influenced by the religious right and the Texas State Board of Education.IMADreamer wrote:A group of people are trying to start a private Christian school in my county. Got a headhunter email about a senior environmental attorney position in St. Louis. Should I inquire? Emails like that are common, but they're usually for roles in places like Houston or Cleveland.
