I bought $3 worth of stuff at 99centsonly last week and paid with a debit card. Today I noticed on my statement they charged me twice. I didn't really want to call the store or the bank or 99centsonly customer service. I read down the list of debits and noticed a credit for $3 reversing one of the charges.

Been that way since I was a kid, with rare exceptions.

We have conference calls, online meetings and online training at least once a week on average. And yet EVERY SINGLE TIME someone can't handle the concept of muting their headset or phone when they aren't expected to contribute. Is this really that hard? If you can't handle something that simple, then you shouldn't be employed.

You're assuming that Dreamer isn't the cause of death. He does keep talking about how much he likes the solitude at his cabin...

What happened to short, simple toasts at wedding receptions. The last 2 we've attended, the best man rambled on and on forever. Hey dude, no one cares what you guys did from childhood until today. Just toast the bride and groom and STHU!!

Oh, and get off my lawn since I sound a little Clint Eastwood-esque.

I am to stand up at a reception in a few weeks. I tell long, meandering, and dull stories just as badly in person as I do online. I am conspiring with the maid of honor to give a two sentence toast in as heartfelt a manner as I can. I'll probably still end up talking for over a minute. Damn.
