Standing behind the average person while they try to navigate that is like getting kicked in the nuts repeatedly. Plus everything that comes out of there has a weird chemical taste to it. The whole process is a pain in the ass, all so one out of a thousand people can have their Mango Raspberry Diet Coke or whatever. Maybe I should have the option of Mango Raspberry Purell after having to touch the same disgusting screen as everyone else.
i dont know what you are talking about but it sounds awful
It indeed is. As one reviewer says "If I want a Sprite, I want a Sprite - not something that has been gang-raped by 20 other flavors"

I've never noticed a funny taste to them, but it is ridiculous watching someone who has no idea what they're doing. You may as well ask a giraffe to use a typewriter. I guess on the whole though I like them. It means I can get my favorite drink, Vanilla Coke.

I've never had to wait in line to use one, so I love them. Adding vanilla to Coke Zero is my jam.

No Freestyle machine, but one of my favorite fast casual restaurants just switched from Pepsi to Coke, and I love them even more because of it.

I've never seen one of these Freestyle machines, but I just watched a youtube video about them and they look intuitive. I can imagine that 22 seconds x 10 people would be obnoxious at a casual restaurant, though.

The guy used the phrase "flavor cartridges with micro-dosing technology." Sounds delicious.

They have the machine at Six Flags McDonalds. Still recovering from the experience.

the problem is that the touch screens are from like 1995.

I'm oooooold! And I'm not happy! And I don't like things now compared to the way they used to be. All this progress -- phooey! In my day, we didn't have these cash machines that would give you money when you needed it. There was only one bank in each state -- it was open only one hour a year. And you'd get in line, seventeen miles long, and the line became an angry mob of people -- fornicators and thieves, mutant children and circus freaks -- and you waited for years and by the time you got to the teller, you were senile and arthritic and you couldn't remember your own name. You were born, got in line, and ya died! And that's the way it was and we liked it!

I remember when soda only came in bottles. And the only ways to open it were with a bottle opener or your teeth.
