Re: Random musings
Someone got on a machine next to me at the gym blaring terrible music through her phone without headphones.
I was able to use disgusted, frustrated body language while doing cardio effectively enough to drive her away in less than 5 minutes. I never said a word. Eye contact, hand gestures only.

This is the best and most definitive yet civil 'breakup' story I've ever heard.Jocephus wrote:this chick i've been seeing for the last few weeks texted me last night saying she wanted to see other people, etc. i was kinda looking for a way out of it anyways so i just texted back "sounds good"

That was very reasonable. "Me too" would have been a nice, satisfying response too.

The 3yo looked me right in the eyes at dinner tonight and said "you're going to die." It was chilling. Even though he had no idea what those words mean.

I didn't tell him he was wrong. Just that it's not a nice thing to say to someone. Also, the whole thing had a 6th Sense kinda vibe, which was problematic.

Re: Random musings
My parents like telling the story of me, as a 3 year old, asking them for some possession of theirs. They refused to give it to me, and I apparently said that that was just fine, because I'd get it when they died. They'd had no idea I even knew what inheritance was.heyzeus wrote:I didn't tell him he was wrong. Just that it's not a nice thing to say to someone.
