Never make this mistake again. Wed am. along with Monday are my two hardest workouts of the week - I won't go into detail but it's weight training and I go really hard. I don't eat breakfast until after I work out usually, OJ and maybe a handful of dry cereal before the workout, and a cup of coffee with a little sugar. Just enough to get the blood sugar up. Well this morning I woke up kind of hungry, opened the cabinet to get some cereal, and I saw a jar of peanuts. Protein I thought to my self, so I grabbed a handful.

About 5 minutes from the end I thought for sure them [expletive] were coming back up. I got through it, drank more water than normal, and then finished up and sat on the [expletive] for 10 minutes.

I feel fine now. Eating my yogurt and and orange, everything back to normal. But no more peanuts before a hard workout. That is a bad plan.

Another Friday, another spin class, and another morning of the instructor obsessing over the heart rate monitor not working. Yet again, the thought of taking her own pulse to verify it escaped her.

You should go take it for her. Tell her to shut up about the damn thing.

My wife wants to go to the Sunday morning class which she also teaches, if she goes on about it I just might. I just want to ask her - "Are you so god damned stupid that you can't take your own pulse?". If my wife is with me, I will have to show some restraint.

Back from Vegas and I haven't had a drop. I decided to extend my no drinking policy to two months.

My booze-free month officially began last night. Not sure how I survived the Super Bowl without drinking a bit of alcohol, considering the only team I hate in the NFL more than the goddamn Patriots are the [expletive] Seahawks.

I figure by eliminating beer and my daily two 20 oz bottles of Mountain Dew, I am effectively eliminating almost 1000 calories from my daily intake. That alone counts as an actual diet, right? I don't have to do anything else?

But you're not shoveling this winter so what are you doing to make up for this loss of burned calories?

Drinking a beer while walking the dogs? Although I suppose for February, now it's "drinking a bottle of water while walking the dogs?"
