I'm hoping in a few years when the Colts are done with Luck, the Broncos can pick up their leftovers again. :D All Colts grow up to be Broncos, so they say.

It makes sense that he was playing hurt.

He was putting up MVP type numbers for the first half of the season. The Broncos have reported "thigh injury" on their weekly injury report for the last several weeks, but never elaborated. I still have my doubts that it was an actual tear (more likely a severe strain, if you ask me), but I do think there was something wrong. If you watch the 1:10 mark of this video, you can see that something doesn't look right.

If he was playing hurt, then I'd be all for him coming back for one more shot next year, under a different coaching staff.

After the game, several Colts players said they followed the Seahawks' blueprint of playing the outside receivers more physically, clogging the middle of the field and forcing Manning to make throws outside the numbers.

No surprise there. The downside of that is that you leave receivers open deep, which happened quite a bit yesterday. Manning overthrew 4 or 5 open receivers downfield. As I said earlier, his accuracy just hasn't been there for the last several weeks. The thigh muscle would explain that, I guess.

The biggest problem is that Denver's coaching staff refuses to make game adjustments. They get outcoached regularly. They've won quite a few games on sheer talent, but to get to the next level you have to be able to adjust, and the Broncos' staff just doesn't. If Fox is back next year, it's a shame.
