Winter gets an appropriate amount of [expletive] thrown its way, but if I have to hear another friend say how much they miss summer... ugh.

To put it in NCAA tournament terms, spring is a 1 seed, fall is a 2, summer is in the 8/9 game, winter is in the CBI or something.

Chicago-like? Did you shovel your driveway out at 6am this morning? Did your hands start stinging even with a pair of gloves on? Did it take you 10 minutes to put enough clothes on to go outside for 12 seconds? Has the Rio Grande froze over?

I miss summer so bad.

We were just sent notification that we can take the day off, or "work" from home tomorrow due to the cold. Winter is good for something.

They were talking about possibly closing school tomorrow here just for the low temps. It's hard to believe because we had several days even colder last year and they didn't close then.

A light snow, no treatment to the roads and temps going to single digits. should be manageable, but a couple years ago, these conditions caused more trouble than the bigger snow.

They closed all of our local schools, and most people at work are working from home. We probably won't see 0 today.

Foretasted to -11 tomorrow morning when I leave for work. Not wind chill, but just the raw temp. Should be fun.

Not quite frozen over but we do drop to the 30s tonight. :)
