We beat Seattle, that's about all you can say about it. I have several colleagues from Moscow and they tell me the winters are easier to deal with there because it's so drab here.
You better hit the tanning booth before the Cancun trip.
I think they are being pretty generous with what they are calling mostly cloudy. I don't remember seeing the sun on the 11th at all, maybe we got it in the morning or something. 12th is bull [expletive], it was cloudy and overcast the entire day - I know because I "worked" from home and remember thinking nobody could accuse me of taking the day off because of the weather.
I've never done a tanning booth before but I know people do that. It might not be a horrible idea.
Chicago ranks low in sunshine on that list but that list is top-loaded with a heck of a lot of places in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, New Mexico, Florida, and elsewhere in the south where I'd rather have my nuts eaten off by squirrels than live.

We are behind Moline, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Philly, BOSTON!, Topeka ... the weather here S-U-C-K-S. It's depressing. It's cold and drab and [expletive]. It's just a [expletive] awful horrible miserable place to live. That's why everyone wears black and looks depressed. That's why everyone in Chicago is so god damned pasty and ugly and talks like they have a 52 week sinus infection.
Surprise two inches of snow over night. [expletive] this winter. My already aching back is now throbbing because I've been scooping and plowing for three freaking hours already.
I see patches of blue sky but have yet to see that fireball in the sky you speak of. Why? Because the god damned thing is so low in the sky because we so god damned far north that it's hidden behind lake effect clouds.

What we? You don't live in Chicago. You live in some boring suburb.
