Comment From Lee
What kind of return would you expect for Allen Craig? A decent reliever perhaps?

Dave Cameron
Salary relief and a throw-in. He's not worth much.

Yes. Ship is what the Guaranteed Super Star Why Did We Ever Trade That Dude For Anyone Prospect rides in. Bus is for the AAAA Outfielder Destined To Be A HOF'er By The MisAppropriated GM's That Reside In Baseball Forums And Know More Than Mo. Or for the Guy That Said GM Leads Us To Believe Is The Answer To Why We Didn't Sign Some Body In The Offseason.

Brian was last seen playing for the Sugar Land Skeeters in the Atlantic League in 2014. http://www.sugarlandskeeters.com/team/r ... ayer_id=80 He's been playing in that league for the past few years.

He's no rocket scientist. But he is more like the baseball equivalent of William Shatner singing "Rocket Man."

No point in rushing off to your next life when your dream of playing for the Sugarland Skeeters is still alive.

In case no one took a look at that roster, former Card Nick Stavinoha is also on that team.

I think the last time I heard Majewski's name he was pitching for the US of A in the first World Baseball Classic.

According to FOX Sports' Jon Morosi, the Red Sox are in "active" Allen Craig trade talks with at least one team.
Craig batted just .128/.234/.191 in 107 plate appearances after the July 31 trade that sent he and Joe Kelly from the Cardinals to the Red Sox for John Lackey. Craig hasn't been the same since suffering a Lisfranc foot injury late in the 2013 season and he's owed $26.5 million over the next three years. Boston probably won't be able to get much in return.

2015
Descalso: $1.5 million
Motte: $4.5 million
Neshek: $5.5 million
Materson: $9.5 million

That's $21 million those former Cards players will make next year.

And that doesn't even include the $2.5 million in incentives for Motte.

How much are their replacements making?
